Handwritten tests, checked in minutes

No — you never upload one. It builds the marking scheme from your question paper itself: the marks each question carries, and the steps a full answer needs.

Both are exactly what it reads — ordinary handwriting on a notebook page, shot on a phone, at an angle, shadows and all. What it will not do is guess. When a word or a whole page defeats it, it says which part it could not read and leaves that question for you, rather than inventing a mark.

Run the test exactly as you run it now — in the room, on paper, in front of you. They photograph their own sheet before they leave. Nothing about the test changes; only the checking does. And nobody has to be chased for a sheet afterwards.

Then they hand the sheet in, exactly as they do now, and whoever is at the desk photographs it — a handful of sheets takes a minute. There is nothing to install, so any phone will do: a friend’s, an elder brother’s, or the centre’s own.

The opposite, in practice. Every mark is still yours — nothing reaches a student until you approve it. And what goes home is feedback on every single question, which nobody has the hours to write by hand for two hundred papers. Parents see more of your checking, not less.

Error carried forward. Method right, arithmetic wrong, and the method still earns its marks — as a board examiner would. Derivations are read step by step, and so are labelled diagrams. A free-hand diagram with no labels is the one thing it will not judge, so it hands that question back to you.

You read them, you do not check them. Every mark quotes the words that earned it, so a paper reads in seconds, and anything it was unsure of says so. Nothing reaches a student until you approve it.

Inside your institute only. Each student signs in, so they only ever see their own paper. Never shared, never sold, never used to train anything. Deleted after checking.
